She was sweet and young, and dressed in a pastel dress and pale hair tyed in pink hair ribbons.
One day she left her house, and ventured the neighborhood.
A man stole her hair ribbons; a woman screamed and sweared at her; a young boy kicked her.
She ran home in tears.
As she cried, she read an old fairy tale she loved.
This was when she realized that characters in books were better than real people.
Before she knew it she's been swallowed up by her books.
In first grade her nose was always in a book, she read under her desk, on the bus, at home, and everywhere else.
